IT consulting services built from an “engineering first” philosophy

In 1985, the first “.com” domain name was registered and almost everyone had dialup, if they were connected at all. Microsoft released its first version of Windows, Dell released its first computer, mainframes still defined corporate computing and Apple decided to oust Steve Jobs.

Meantime, in Minnesota, the CEO of Emergent Networks began solving IT issues for clients for the first time.

Back then, the company was a sole proprietorship called Anderson Data Management. It was owned by Gary Anderson and, over the years, it earned a superb reputation for getting it right the first time. In the early 2000s, Anderson’s son, Jamie Anderson, also started an IT consultancy and soon it also developed the same reputation. Within a few years, the Andersons saw they could serve their clients better and offer a wider spectrum of IT services across Minnesota if they were to merge their two companies.

Since the merger that created Emergent Networks in 2004, our company has grown to include a staff of highly qualified, talented employees in diverse specialty areas. We offer solutions that range from infrastructure architecture to unified communications to cloud backup to mobile apps — all of them customized to meet your needs today and to grow with you as you grow. Our team is motivated, industrious and sincere, and is enthusiastic about strengthening our relationships with existing clients and earning the trust of new ones.

Most of the businesses we serve have 50-2,000 employees, but we occasionally work with smaller or larger companies and welcome the opportunity to discuss enterprise solutions.

We are humbled yet gratified by the rapid growth we continue to experience despite the economic downturn. We fully believe this is because we have remained true to our roots: getting it right the first time.
