Systems Engineer
Emergent Networks is seeking candidates for a Systems Engineer position within our services division. Qualified candidates will have at least 3+ years experience in the IT services industry, be certified and have experience with a number of products and solutions offered by Emergent Networks. This role will require excellent problem solving skills, a good work ethic, and the ability to work on a team or independently as required.
This position will be focused on implementations and support across a variety of products. Candidates will be required to deliver billable professional services, solution design and architecture, pre-sales support, and post implementation support. The individual will also be required to gain certification and/or maintain current certifications on current Microsoft products offered by Emergent Networks. The role will require interaction with clients, other team members, and vendors. Good verbal and written skills are required.
Position Description:
- Work with a team of engineers on client projects and on-going professional services engagements
- Focuses primarily on implementation of Microsoft server products such as Windows Server 2008 R2, Exchange Server 2010, SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Lync, System Center, and Active Directory
- Post implementation support and trouble shooting for clients
- Work with Sales team to meet with clients and help develop proposals
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years experience working in IT services or related field
- 4 year degree in a computer related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong work ethic and problem solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work
- Experience doing multiple Exchange Server implementations and upgrades
- Experience doing multiple SQL Server implementations and upgrades
- Experience with other Microsoft Server implementations such as Lync or System Center
- Experience building highly available environments using Windows clustering or hardware load balancers
- Experience with VMWare Enterprise products (VCP preferred but not required)
- Windows client and server system administration

Unified Communications Engineer

SharePoint Developer
Emergent Networks is looking for a skilled SharePoint developer/designer to join our SharePoint professional services team. This position will be required to work directly with clients to determine their SharePoint needs and customize their SharePoint 2010 environments to meet their business requirements.
Position Description:
- Design and development of SharePoint-based intranets, extranets and knowledge management systems
- Resolve business and technical problems which require an intimate knowledge of MOSS 2010
- Design simple work flows using SharePoint Designer
- Provide Business Analyst role to clients to help design the best solution for them
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of SharePoint
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server)
- Experience deploying SharePoint and building SharePoint sites and web parts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in conjunction with a team
- Strong attention to detail and analytic skills
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of web services
- Microsoft certification
