Building for the future with SDWAN architecture
Businesses often struggle with bandwidth. Too little creates headaches for employees and customers, and too much is often cost-prohibitive. This was the challenge The Tile Shop presented, and one our networking engineers were eager to take head-on as strategic partners.
Situation: With more than 120 stores spread across the U.S. (and more on the way) the retailer was experiencing bandwidth and latency issues that were impacting its business and the customer experience.
Solution: Rather than expanding Mpls circuits or laying fiber to dozens of stores, we suggested an innovative approach to networking with Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN). The technology bonds multiple network connections with software, to intelligently route traffic and increase bandwidth significantly.
The results speak for themselves. Bandwidth soared from 1.5 Mbps to more than 100 in some locations, and the SD-WAN technology is now part of any new store checklist for The Tile Shop, with deployment taking only about 30 minutes. ROI delivered within 16-20 months.
